Thanks for joining me as we tour my home for Christmas! I do enjoy a beautiful tree and the simplest of Christmas décor.
Home Tour Greenery
Let’s start outside! This year I am smitten with the Tartan Plaid trend and had to have it somewhere in my decorations, so I added to my garland for a fun pop of red.
The planters are from Frontgate, and I love the height they add to my entrance. So simple just purchase some greenery in different assortments from you local nursery. Place soil in your pots and insert. I added a few artificial stems along with curly willow and birch sticks.
The theme for our foyer tree is Peacock blue and green. I tend always to dress my stairs.
Inspired Christmas Office
My office sits off our foyer, and I love seeing the tree from my desk, I may never take it down!
This year I finally had an opportunity to redesign my office (see my dream office post)adding the fun pop of color with the wallpaper.
My favorite upholster Bernie just completed the custom seat cushion, he does the most beautiful work. I must say that seat is now my favorite spot. I still have to make a window treatment for this space. Where does one find the time with Christmas!
If you have visited ADI before you know I enjoy a great sewing project I made up this sweet fur skirt for my peacock inspired mannequin. I HOPE Santa fills that stocking with a new camera, mine has been on the fritz with light, and it’s driving me bonkers!
Christmas Gold Table
Now, let’s head over for some Christmas dinner. This year I love copper accents mixed with gold.
I picked up the gold sequins fabric from my local fabric store. Depending on the length of your table determines the yardage you will need. I purchased 3.5 yards to cover my table for eight.
One of my favorite flowers is the Hydrangea, but I must say I never have luck they wilt long before dinner is over. But, this year I was fortunate to follow a great floral artist Carly The Flower Chef on Instagram if you don’t follow her you should! Carly gave me some great advice to soak the petals of my Hydrangeas they take water through the bloom. Who knew! They stayed beautiful for days!
I added the 12 Days of Christmas plates to my table after I shot the above, I adore these plates something about the art makes me smile.
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love gave to me twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping, ten lords a leaping nine ladies dancing, eight maids a milking,
Seven swans a swimming, six geese a laying, five golden rings, four calling birds,
Three French hens, two turtle doves and a Partridge in a pear tree.
I couldn’t resist! Oh, and no worries I did set the flatware properly!
Hope you have enjoyed my Christmas Gold Home Tour! Be inspired and fly with a few Christmas Gold decorations of your own! Join me this week we will see the rest of my home along with three other beautiful homes decked out for Christmas!
